PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple steering support beam structure which absorbs a variation in a dimensional tolerance in a vehicle body width direction at attachment, does not generate unnecessary warpage, and can be surely fixed.SOLUTION: A beam main body 5 of a steering support beam 1 is divided into a driver seat side beam part 7 and a front passenger side beam part 8, a throttle part 7a which slidably penetrates an opposing end part 8a of the front passenger seat side beam part 8 is formed at an opposing end part 7b of the driver seat side beam part 7, the opposing end part 8a of the front passenger seat side beam part 8 is relatively slid in the throttle part 7a, and thus an attachment length in a vehicle body width direction is adjusted. Then, by connecting both the beam parts 7, 8 sandwiching the throttle part 7a to each other by a clamp member 21 which is fixed to a vehicle body side, both the beam parts 7, 8 are integrated to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】構造が簡単で、取付けに際して車体幅方向の寸法公差内のバラツキを吸収し、無理な歪みを発生させることなく、確実に固定することのできるステアリングサポートビーム構造を提供する。【解決手段】ステアリングサポートビーム1のビーム本体5を運転席側ビーム部7と助手席側ビーム部8とに分割し、運転席側ビーム部7の対向端部7bに、助手席側ビーム部8の対向端部8aを摺動自在に挿通する絞り部7aを形成し、助手席側ビーム部8の対向端部8aを絞り部7a内で相対摺動させることで車体幅方向の取付け長さを調整する。そして絞り部7aを挟む両ビーム部7,8を、車体側に固定されるクランプ部材21で連結することで、両ビーム7,8を一体化させる。【選択図】図3
