PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack control device which can suppress narrowing of a battery pack use area.SOLUTION: The battery pack control device performs charge control and discharge control of a battery pack which supplies power to an electric motor acting as a vehicle power source, and which has a plurality of battery blocks connected in series. The battery pack control device includes: a communication line; a plurality of monitoring ICs 1n which are individually connected to the respective plurality of battery blocks, to detect the voltage of each battery block connected to the self-battery pack control device, and perform data transmission processing through the communication line; and a microcomputer 20 which receives data through the communication line. Each monitoring IC includes a low consumption monitoring unit which determines whether or not a dispersion occurs in consumption currents among a plurality of monitor units caused by transmission processing, depending on whether or not a readout instruction is issued to a monitoring IC located downstream of the self-monitoring IC. The low consumption monitoring unit increases a consumption current in the self to suppress a consumption current dispersion among the plurality of monitoring ICs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】組電池の使用領域を狭くすることを抑制できる組電池制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】組電池制御装置は、複数の電池ブロックが直列に接続され車両の動力源としての電動機に電力供給する組電池の充電制御及び放電制御を行う。組電池制御装置は、通信線と、複数の電池ブロックの夫々に対して個別に接続され自身が接続されている電池ブロックの電圧を検出するとともに通信線を介したデータの送信処理を行う複数の監視IC1nと、通信線を介してデータを受信するマイコン20とを備えている。各監視ICは、自身よりも下流の監視ICへの読出命令であるか否かによって、低消費監視部があり、低消費監視部によって複数の監視部間で送信処理による消費電流にばらつきが生じるか否かを判定する。低消費監視部は、自身における消費電流を増やして、複数の監視IC間での消費電流のばらつきを抑制する。【選択図】図1
