PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly fix a sensor to a metallic cover.SOLUTION: A bearing device 10 for a wheel is equipped with an outer ring 12; an inner ring 17; a plurality of rolling elements 27; an annular magnetic member 54 fixed to the inner ring 17; and a holder 30 fixed to the outer ring 12. A sensor 60 detecting changes in magnetic characteristics of the magnetic member 54 is attached to the holder 30. The holder 30 is formed by a steel plate cover 32, and a synthetic resinous sensor pedestal 44. A cover 32 integrally has a cylindrical portion 33 fitted with an outer periphery of the outer ring 12, and a side end surface 34 provided in a diametrical direction. The sensor 60 is attached to a side end surface 34. In the sensor pedestal 44, a fixing protrusion 48 is integrally formed on a fixed surface 45. On the opposite side to the fixed surface 45, a sensor attaching surface 46 attached with the sensor 60 is formed. The cover 32 and the sensor pedestal 44 are coupled by locking the fixing protrusion 48 on the side end surface 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】金属製カバーに、センサを確実に固定する。【解決手段】外輪12と、内輪17と、複数の転動体27と、内輪17に固定された環状の磁性部材54と、外輪12に固定されるホルダ30とを備えており、磁性部材54の磁気特性の変化を検出するセンサ60が、ホルダ30に取り付けられている車輪用軸受装置10において、ホルダ30は鋼板製のカバー32と合成樹脂製のセンサ台座44とで形成されている。カバー32は、外輪12の外周に嵌め合わされる円筒部33と、径方向に設けられた側端面34とを一体に有している。センサ60は側端面34に取り付けられている。センサ台座44では、固定面45に固定用突起48が一体に形成されている。固定面45と反対の側にセンサ60を取り付けるセンサ取付面46が形成されている。カバー32とセンサ台座44とが、固定用突起48を側端面34に係止することによって結合されている。【選択図】図1
