PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a door beam having a greater length in a vehicle width direction than conventional ones, to be encased in a limited space between an outer panel and an inner panel of a vehicle door.SOLUTION: A door beam 1 comprises: an outer flange 2; an inner flange 3; an aluminum alloy extruded material including a pair of webs 4 connecting the outer and the inner flanges; and plastic processing parts 9 crushed in a height direction of the web 4 at an end parts in a longitudinal direction. In each of the plastic processing parts 9, the web 4 is buckled outward. In each of the plastic processing parts 9, the outer flange 2 substantially stays at the original position without moving, while the inner flange 3 moves closer to the outer flange side 2 by a distance equal to an amount of crushing H of the crushing processing, from the original position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両のドアのアウターパネルとインナーパネルの間の限られたスペースに、従来に比べて車幅方向の高さの大きいドアビームを収容できるようにする。【解決手段】ドアビーム1は、アウターフランジ2及びインナーフランジ3と、これらを連結する一対のウエブ4を有するアルミニウム合金押出形材からなり、長手方向の端部にウエブ4の高さ方向に潰されている塑性加工部9を有する。前記塑性加工部9では、ウエブ4が外側に座屈している。また、前記塑性加工部9では、アウターフランジ2は実質的に移動せず、元の位置に留まっているが、インナーフランジ3が、潰し加工による潰し量Hと同じ距離だけ、元の位置よりアウターフランジ3側に近い位置に移動している。【選択図】図2
