PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic light passage support device for supporting a driver to drive a vehicle when the vehicle while travelling passes a traffic light, and reducing anxiety that the driver may travel toward a "red" light.SOLUTION: A traffic light passage support device comprises notification means (15) for notifying a driver of an own vehicle that the vehicle can pass a traffic light, when display of the traffic light is currently red, and an estimated passing time (T1) until the own vehicle passes the traffic light is longer than a value obtained by adding a light change recognition time (T3) necessary for the driver to recognize the change of a display of the traffic light to a display change time (T2) until the traffic light is changed to a different display from the current display.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】走行中の車両が信号機を通過する際に、該車両のドライバの運転を支援する装置において、ドライバが「赤」信号に向かって走行する不安を低減する。【解決手段】信号機の現在の表示が赤であり、自車両が信号機を通過するまでの予測通過時間(T1)が、信号機が現在の表示から異なる表示に変化するまでの表示変化時間(T2)に、自車両のドライバが信号機の表示の変化を認知するのに必要な信号変化認知時間(T3)を加えた値より長い場合に、ドライバに信号機が通過可能である旨を報知する報知手段(15)を備える。【選択図】図1
