PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the height of a side collision part to be set optimally and a side collision load to be transmitted quickly from a center tunnel to the side collision detection part without attenuating the load as much as possible.SOLUTION: In a vehicle side collision detection assembly 80, a side collision detection part 60 is provided in a center tunnel 41. The side collision detection part detects a collision load acted on a vehicle body from sideway. A bracket 70 for fitting the side collision detection part is located at an upper end part of the center tunnel. The bracket has a substantially M-shaped cross section in a front view, is covered over the upper end part of the center tunnel, and comprises left and right vertical plate-like leg parts 71 and an intermediate part 72 between the left and right leg parts. The left and right leg parts are joined to left and right side faces 51a, 51a or a top face 52a of the center tunnel. The intermediate part is set lower than upper ends 71a, 71a of the left and right leg parts and joined to the top face of the center tunnel. Left and right fitting parts 73 for fitting the side collision detection part are provided between the upper ends of the left and right leg parts and the intermediate part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
