PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal for footway pedestrians with which it is possible to respond to a signal from a communication terminal for vehicles more quickly when it is used specifically by a pedestrian who needs caution.SOLUTION: The communication terminal for footway pedestrians includes: a vehicle progress vector determination unit (S122) for determining a vehicle progress vector on the basis of an event that a search signal is received; a footway pedestrian progress vector determination unit (S123) for determining a footway pedestrian progress vector that is the progress vector of a communication terminal for footway pedestrians; a relative progress vector determination unit (S124) for determining a relative progress vector on the basis of the vehicle process vector and the footway pedestrian progress vector; an angle determination unit (S125) for determining a relative progress angle that is an angle to a direction heading from the communication terminal for footway pedestrians to the communication terminal for vehicles formed by the relative progress vector; a wait time determination unit (S126, S127) for determining a transmission wait time that is shorter, the smaller the relative progress angle is; and a transmission control unit for transmitting a response signal from a communication unit on the basis of an event that the transmission wait time is determined to have elapsed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
