PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a hanging load with good accuracy even if a tip position of an undulation member is changed.SOLUTION: A hanging load detection device which is provided on a crane 1 having a hanging member 7 which hangs a hanging load W from a tip thereof, and an undulation member 12 which undulates the hanging member 7 via a rope 13. The detection device comprises: a tension detector which detects a tensile force F of the rope 13; an undulation angle detector which detects an undulation angle θ1 of the hanging member 7; a standing angle detector which detects a standing angle θ2 of the undulation member 12; and an arithmetic unit which calculates a hanging load on the basis of a detection value from the tension detector, the undulation angle detector and the standing angle detector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
