PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such a situation in which a load handling operation is stopped in halfway due to a fork and an inner face of a hole contacts in halfway of a fork insertion operation.SOLUTION: A load taking method in an unmanned fork lift 11 is configured to measure a distance to holes into which forks 22 are inserted, by a laser sensor 23, and detect inclinations of the holes with respect to an approach direction of the forks 22 on the basis of a height of the laser sensor 23, then determine whether or not to change the inclinations of the forks 22 on the basis of the inclinations detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
