PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-purposed pedestrian image acquisition device that can easily acquire an image in which road-crossing pedestrians actually rush to roads as a material of learning samples without impairing safety of pedestrians.SOLUTION: A vehicle-purposed pedestrian image acquisition device comprises: a forward camera 2 that can photograph an area ahead of vehicles; a rear camera 5 that can photograph an area behind the vehicles; a road-crossing pedestrian prediction unit 12 that predicts pedestrians likely to cross a road behind the vehicle on the basis of a photographing image of the forward camera 2; and a speed control unit 14 that controls a driving speed of the vehicle. The speed control unit 14 is configured to control the driving speed of the vehicle so as to encounter an opposing vehicle at a location in the vicinity of the pedestrian predicted to be likely to cross the road, and the rear camera 5 is configured to photograph the pedestrian predicted to be likely to cross the road by the road-crossing pedestrian prediction unit 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
