PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed changer which can alleviate shock even if ground plane of a wheel is changed and friction is changed.SOLUTION: A speed changer comprises: an input shaft 102 to which driving force from a motor 3, which is mounted on an automobile 2 of which a front wheel 6 and a rear wheel 7 are driven, is transmitted; a front wheel side output shaft 104 which is located in parallel to the input shaft 102, and outputs driving force to the front wheel 6; a rear wheel side output shaft 106 which is located in parallel to the input shaft 102 and the front wheel side output shaft 104, and outputs driving force to the rear wheel 7; a front wheel side shift mechanism 130 which can so transmit rotation of the input shaft 102 to the front wheel side output shaft 104 as to be capable of freely changing gear; a rear wheel side shift mechanism 150 which can so transmit rotation of the input shaft 102 to the rear wheel side output shaft 106 as to be capable of freely changing gear; a front wheel side clutch 170 which is provided on a power transmission path from the front wheel side shift mechanism 130 to the front wheel 6; and a rear wheel side clutch 190 which is provided on a power transmission path from the rear wheel side shift mechanism 150 to the rear wheel 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
