PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for an industrial vehicle, that suppresses deterioration of durability while controlling preload of first and second tapered roller bearings within a proper range.SOLUTION: The drive unit 1 comprises: interval adjustment means 180 that adjusts an interval W1 between a first inner ring 161 and a second inner ring 171 in a rotation axis X1 direction, by abutting on a first body part 111 of a first material 110 or the first inner ring 161 of a first tapered roller bearing 160 from the second inner ring 171 of a second tapered roller bearing 170 in the rotation axis X1 direction, and by abutting on a second body part 121 of a second material 120 or the second inner ring 171 from a first inner ring 161 side in the rotation axis X1 direction; and fixation means 190 that is disposed between the interval adjustment means 180 and at least one of the first body part 111 and the second body part 121, and that fixes a position around the rotation axis X1 relative to the first and second materials 110, 120 of the interval adjustment means 180.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
