PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a bearing device for a wheel capable of preventing occurrence of scratches and having superior sealing performance.SOLUTION: In an assembling method of a bearing device for a wheel which has an outer ring member 10, a hub shaft 20 having a hub flange 22, a rolling element 40, and a seal device 50 for sealing an opening portion at a hub flange 22 side of a bearing internal space 2 between the outer ring member 10 and the hub shaft 20, and in which the seal device 50 is composed of a slinger 60 and a seal member 51, the slinger 60 has a cylindrical portion 61 press-fitted to the hub shaft 20, and a disc portion 62 of which a diameter is expanded from an end portion of the cylindrical portion 61, the disc portion 62 has an outer peripheral-side side lip slide face 65 and an inner peripheral-side contacted face 66, the seal member 51 has a side lip 58, and an end portion at an axial one side, of the side lip 58 is slidably kept into contact with the slide lip slide face 65, the slinger 60 is kept into contact with the contacted face 66, and mounted by being pressed in a direction of the hub flange 22 by a press-fit jig 110 not kept into contact with the slide lip slide face 65.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】疵の発生を防止し、密封性能に優れた車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法を提供する。【解決手段】外輪部材10と、ハブフランジ22を有するハブ軸20と、転動体40と、外輪部材10とハブ軸20との間の軸受内部空間2のハブフランジ22側の開口部を密封する密封装置50と、を有し、密封装置50は、スリンガ60と、シール部材51と、からなり、スリンガ60は、ハブ軸20に圧入される円筒部61と、円筒部61の端部から拡径する円盤部62とを有し、円盤部62は外周側のサイドリップ摺動面65と、内周側の被当接面66とを備え、シール部材51はサイドリップ58を有し、サイドリップ58の軸方向一方側の端部は、サイドリップ摺動面65に摺接する車輪用軸受装置の組立て方法であって、スリンガ60は、被当接面66に当接するとともに、サイドリップ摺動面65に当接しない圧入冶具110で、ハブフランジ22の方向に押圧して装着する。【選択図】図4
