PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to drastically reduce weight of a crown and therefore to reduce weight of a tire for a passenger vehicle, without reducing performance of the tire for the passenger vehicle in terms of safety and a service life.SOLUTION: The invention relates in particular to a tire for a passenger vehicle, a crown reinforcement of the tire consists of: a radial carcass reinforcement (2), an actual working reinforcement (53) consisting of a single layer (531) of reinforcements inclined by a given angle "a" ("a" being 4 to 7 degrees) relative to a circumferential direction (DC) of the tire, where a flat circumferential reinforcement (9) made of a polymer is arranged in a central portion of the crown reinforcement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
