PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric booster capable of being downsized and reduced in cost, and also accurately detecting a movement position of an input component.SOLUTION: An electric booster 1A includes: an input plunger 29 to which first and second magnetic bodies 70A, 70B are attached; a stroke detection device 54A having hall IC chips for detecting magnetic flux density from the first and second magnetic bodies 70A, 70B respectively, to detect a movement position of the input plunger 29 with respect to a housing 3; and a controller 55 for, when there are plural movement positions of the input plunger 29 which correspond to an output signal value from each hall IC chip, selecting and detecting the movement position of the input plunger 29 on the basis of an output signal from fluid pressure detection means 65 that detects an operation state of a brake pedal. By this, the electric booster can be downsized and reduced in cost, and meanwhile, the movement position of the input plunger 29 (input rod 30) can be accurately detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】小型化して、低コスト化を実現しつつ、入力部材の移動位置を精度良く検出することのできる電動倍力装置を提供する。【解決手段】本電動倍力装置1Aは、第1及び第2磁性体70A、70Bが装着される入力プランジャ29と、ハウジング3に対する入力プランジャ29の移動位置を検出すべく、第1及び第2磁性体70A、70Bからの磁束密度を検出する各ホールICチップを有するストローク検出装置54Aと、各ホールICチップからの出力値に対応する入力プランジャ29の移動位置が複数存在する場合、ブレーキペダルの操作状態を検出する液圧検出手段65の出力信号に基づいて、入力プランジャ29の移動位置を選択して検出するコントローラ55とを備えている。これにより、小型化して、低コスト化を実現しつつ、入力プランジャ29(入力ロッド30)の移動位置を精度良く検出することができる。【選択図】図2
