PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactor controller capable of suppressing power consumption necessary for holding the ON-state of a contactor on an electric circuit between a motor and an inverter in an electric vehicle, and executing contactor switching at suitable timing.SOLUTION: A contactor controller includes a calculation part 18 for calculating requested torque based on an accelerator opening detected by an accelerator sensor 10, and a control unit 19 for switching one of pluralities of positive-electrode side contactors (e.g., second and third positive-electrode side contactors 12 and 13) and negative-electrode side contactors (e.g., second and third negative-electrode side contactors 15 and 16) to a connected (ON) state. The control unit 19 changes the connected state timing of the positive-electrode side contactors and the negative-electrode side contactors according to the increased acceleration of the requested torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
