PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive hood hinge device for an automobile, that is adapted to alleviate impact when a pedestrian collides with a hood to reduce injury of the pedestrian.SOLUTION: A passive hood hinge for an automobile according to the present invention can perceive a collision form deformation of a hood panel even without providing a separate component for perceiving impact, and by that a hinge arm, a lowering link and the like that are connected to the hood panel are lowered at the moment when the hood panel is deformed and, and by that a transfer link connected to the hinge arm is subjected to damping force of a spring, can substantially alleviate an injury value to a pedestrian colliding with a hood by lowering of the hood panel and the damping force of the spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】歩行者がフードに衝突する時の衝撃を緩和して歩行者の傷害を低減できるようにした自動車用パッシブフードヒンジ装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明による自動車用パッシブフードヒンジ装置は、別途の衝撃を認知する部品を設けなくても、フードパネルの変形から衝突を認知し、フードパネルが変形される瞬間フードパネルに連結されたヒンジアーム及び下降リンクなどが下降すると共にヒンジアームに連結された伝達リンクがばねの減衰力を受けることで、フードパネルの下降及びばねの減衰力によってフードに衝突する歩行者の傷害値を大きく低減できることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
