PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for avoiding passer-by's stay within a railroad crossing for enabling a passer-by to easily and surely get out of a railroad crossing in a short time even if the passer-by is left behind within the railroad crossing with a crossing bar lowered down, and to provide a crossing gate device provided with such a function.SOLUTION: In the method for avoiding a passer-by's stay within a railroad crossing in a railroad crossing with a crossing bar 1 turnable by a turn driving device 2, when a passer-by is left behind within a railroad crossing, an operation command of a stay avoidance function is issued to the turn driving device 2, the turn driving device 2 turns the crossing bar 1 downward according to the operation command, and folds a front part 1b of the crossing bar 1 so that the passer-by can get out of the railroad crossing in this way.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】通行人が遮断かんが下りた踏切内に取り残されても、通行人が踏切内から短時間に容易かつ確実に退出することができる、通行人の踏切内滞留回避方法、および、このような機能を備えた踏切遮断装置を提供する。【解決手段】回動駆動機2により回動可能な遮断かん1が設置された踏切における、通行人の踏切内滞留回避方法において、踏切内に通行人が滞留したときに、回動駆動機2に滞留回避機能の作動指令を発し、回動駆動機2は、作動指令にしたがって遮断かん1を下方に回動させて、遮断かん1の前部1bを折り曲げ、かくして、通行人の踏切内からの退出を可能にする。【選択図】図4
