PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely close a gap between a landing side sill and a car-side sill during a travel of an elevator car and to securely detect the gap being closed when the elevator car lands.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an elevator characterized in comprising: an elevator car having an elevator car-side sill; a landing-side sill for each floor which guides opposed landing doors in door opening/closing directions as the elevator car lands and faces the landing-side sill across a gap; a closing plate having one side pivoted on the landing-side sill or elevator car-side sill and the other side opposed to the one side to a width wider than the size of the gap and bridged over the elevator car-side sill or the landing-side sill; an operation mechanism which allows the other side of the closing plate to rotate into a closing state in which the gap is closed as the doors are closed, and then to rotate into a non-contact raised state from the elevator car-side sill or landing-side sill; and a detector which detects the closing plate being closed or raised of by the operation mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】かご走行時には乗場側敷居及びかご側敷居間の隙間を安全に塞ぐこと、及びかご着床時には隙間を塞ぐことを確実に検知可能にする。【解決手段】本発明の一実施形態によれば、かご側敷居を有するかごと、このかごの着床により対面する乗場扉を戸開閉方向に案内し、前記かご側敷居と隙間を隔てて対向する階床毎の乗場側敷居と、この乗場側敷居又は前記かご側敷居に枢支された一辺およびこの一辺に前記隙間の寸法よりも広幅をもって対向し前記かご側敷居又は前記乗場側敷居上に橋渡しされる他辺を持つ塞ぎ板と、この塞ぎ板の前記他辺を戸閉により前記隙間を塞ぐ閉塞状態に回動させ、戸開により前記かご側敷居又は前記乗場側敷居から非接触の起立状態への回動を許容する作動機構と、この作動機構による前記塞ぎ板が前記閉塞状態および前記起立状態を検知する検知器と、を備えたことを特徴とするエレベータが提供される。【選択図】図3
