PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably lift a saddle while preventing a malfunction of rotating and moving the saddle to the left and right with a simple structure in relation to brake operation even during travel.SOLUTION: A saddle lifting device 10 of a bicycle comprises: inner cylinder energization means for energizing a seat post inner cylinder 13 having a saddle upward all the time by inserting the seat post inner cylinder in a liftable manner into a seat post outer cylinder 11 erected from a base part of a body frame; and a rotation stop mechanism A for restricting rotation when the seat post inner cylinder is raised and lowered with respect to the seat post outer cylinder. A plurality of ball receiving recesses 13a are formed on an external surface of the seat post inner cylinder along a cylindrical shaft direction. A device body 20 is provided in the seat post outer cylinder. The device body comprises a ball 23 which can protrude from and retreat into the ball receiving recess, and an operation mechanism 24 for protruding and retreating the ball from and into the ball receiving recess. The operation mechanism holds the seat post inner cylinder by retreating the ball into the ball receiving recess, and raises and lowers the seat post inner cylinder by releasing the ball from the ball receiving recess.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
