PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite battery and a composite battery cooling system that enable a simple configuration by using an existing lead acid battery and has a capability of surely cooling a lithium ion secondary battery to a temperature at which the lithium ion secondary battery can be used under a high temperature environment.SOLUTION: A composite cell 10 includes a lead-acid battery 12, a sub battery 14, a heat transfer material 16 and a heat insulating material 18. The sub battery 14 is located on a side surface 12b of the lead-acid battery 12. The heat transfer material 16 has a heat transfer surface 16a and a heat transfer surface 16b, and is disposed between the side surface 12b of the lead-acid battery 12 and the one surface 14a of the sub battery 14. The heat insulating material 18 is formed and arranged so as to cover the other surfaces excluding the one surface 14a of the sub-battery 14, and the other surfaces excluding the heat transfer surface 16a and the heat transfer surface 16b of the heat transfer material 16 . In the composite battery 10, the amount of heat Q2 transferred from the sub battery 14 to the lead-acid battery 12 via the heat transfer material 16 is larger than the amount of heat Q1 transferred from the outside via the heat insulating material 18 to the sub battery 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】既存の鉛蓄電池を用いて簡素な構成が可能であり、かつ、高温環境で使用できる温度まで確実にリチウムイオン二次電池を冷却する能力を有する複合電池および複合電池冷却システムを提供する。【解決手段】複合電池10は、鉛蓄電池12とサブバッテリ14と伝熱材16と断熱材18とを有する。サブバッテリ14は、鉛蓄電池12の側面12bに配置される。伝熱材16は、伝熱面16aおよび伝熱面16bを有し、鉛蓄電池12の側面12bとサブバッテリ14の一方の面14aとの間に配置される。断熱材18は、サブバッテリ14の一方の面14aを除く他の面、ならびに伝熱材16の伝熱面16aと伝熱面16bとを除く他の面を覆うように形成されて配置される。そして、複合電池10は、断熱材18を介して外部からサブバッテリ14に伝わる熱量Q1よりも、伝熱材16を介してサブバッテリ14から鉛蓄電池12に伝わる熱量Q2の方が大きい。【選択図】図2
