PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction rope type elevator hoist which is compact in size while having a reduction gear which is higher in transmission efficiency than before, easy in the exchange of parts, and also high in maintenance work efficiency.SOLUTION: A reduction gear 4 comprises a two-stage gear row which is obtained by combining a worm gear stage and a helical gear stage in a gear box 20 as a gear mechanism, the worm gear stage is constituted of a cylindrical worm and a worm wheel 13, the helical gear stage is constituted of a helical pinion which is coaxially connected to the worm wheel via an intermediate shaft, and a helical gear which is geared with the pinion, and whose rotation center shaft is connected to a rotation center shaft of a sheave as an output shaft, the cylindrical worm has a worm shaft which extends along the center shaft from both sides of the cylindrical worm in a longitudinal direction, and protrudes to the outside while penetrating both sidewalls of the worm shaft, and an electric motor 3 which is connected to either of both ends of the worm shaft and a brake device 5 which is connected to the other are attached to both the ends so as to be selectively exchangeable with respect to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】従来より高い伝達効率の減速機を持ちながらもコンパクトで且つ部品交換が容易でメンテナンス作業効率も高いトラクションロープ式エレベータ用の巻上機の提供。【解決手段】減速機4が歯車箱20内にウォームギア段とヘリカルギア段とを組み合わせて成る2段歯車列を歯車機構として備え、ウォームギア段は円筒状ウォームとウォームホイール13とから構成され、ヘリカルギア段はウォームホイールに中間軸を介して同軸上で連結されたヘリカルピニオンとピニオンに噛合すると共にその回転中心軸が出力軸としてシーブの回転中心軸と連結されたヘリカルギアとから構成され、円筒状ウォームはその長手方向両側から中心軸に沿って延在して各々歯車箱の両側壁を貫通して外側へ突出するウォーム軸を有し、これらウォーム軸の両端部の一方に連結される電動モータ3と他方に連結されるブレーキ装置5とが、両端部に対して互いに選択的に交換可能に装着されている。【選択図】図1
