PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interrupter capable of detecting a position of an interrupting part and a state of a rotary member in an intermittent state of the interrupting part, and suppressing enlargement of the device.SOLUTION: An interrupter 1 comprises: a pair of rotary members 3, 5 arranged in a relatively rotatable manner; an interrupting part 7 provided between the pair of rotary members 3, 5 for interrupting power transmission between the pair of rotary members 3, 5; and a sensor 9 for detecting the position of the interrupter 7. A first detection part 11 and a second detection part 13, which can face the sensor 9, are provided in either one of the pair of rotary members 3, 5. The sensor 9 is arranged so as to face the first detection part 11 in a first state of the interrupting part 7 and face the second detection part 13 in a second state of the interrupting part 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
