PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive power storage energy among trains in a gradient zone, for efficiently using power storage energy.SOLUTION: Plural vehicles comprise respectively: a power storage unit for driving a vehicle; a power conversion unit for supplying power supplied from a power collection unit to the power storage unit; and a control unit for controlling operation of the power storage unit and the power conversion unit. A battery drive system is configured so that the plural vehicles mutually receive power via a power reception unit coupled to the power collection unit, and the control unit of the respective vehicles accumulates power which is discharged by other vehicle which travels in a descend direction via the power reception unit, in the power storage unit of a self vehicle, when the self vehicle is a vehicle traveling in an ascend direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
