PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a heavy duty tire which, when formed into a tire, is excellent in low heat build-up properties and wear resistance and increases elongation at break, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a heavy duty tire contains a diene rubber (A), carbon black (B), and an acid-modified polyolefin (C). The diene rubber (A) contains 70 mass% or more of a natural rubber. The carbon black (B) has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 100-160 m/g. The acid-modified polyolefin (C) has a melt mass flow rate of 100 g/10 min or more. The content of the carbon black (B) is 30 pts.mass or more and less than 70 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber (A). The content of the acid-modified polyolefin (C) is 0.1-10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber (A).SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】本発明の課題は、タイヤにしたときに低発熱性および耐摩耗性に優れ、破断伸びが大きくなる重荷重タイヤ用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供することである。【解決手段】ジエン系ゴム(A)と、カーボンブラック(B)と、酸変性ポリオレフィン(C)とを含有し、上記ジエン系ゴム(A)が天然ゴムを70質量%以上含有し、上記カーボンブラック(B)の窒素吸着比表面積が100〜160m2/gであり、上記酸変性ポリオレフィン(C)のメルトマスフローレートが100g/10min以上であり、上記カーボンブラック(B)の含有量が、上記ジエン系ゴム(A)100質量部に対して30質量部以上70質量部未満であり、上記酸変性ポリオレフィン(C)の含有量が、上記ジエン系ゴム(A)100質量部に対して0.1〜10質量部である、重荷重タイヤ用ゴム組成物。【選択図】なし
