PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber article reinforcing steel cord for which steel cord weight is reduced by using a wire with high tensile strength and a shear fatigue resistance is improved.SOLUTION: A rubber article reinforcing steel cord 10 has a two-layer twist structure and comprises core filaments 11, which are made of multiple pieces of filament, and sheath filaments 12, which are twisted together around the core filaments 11 and made of multiple pieces of filament. A tensile strength of the core filament 11 is higher than that of the sheath filament 12. The core filament 11 and the sheath filament 12 are twisted together in a same direction and a same pitch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】高抗張力の線材を用いてスチールコードの軽量化を図りつつ、耐せん断疲労性を改善したゴム物品補強用スチールコードを提供する。【解決手段】ゴム物品補強用スチールコード10は、複数本のフィラメントからなるコアフィラメント11と、コアフィラメント11の周りに撚り合わせた、複数本のフィラメントからなるシースフィラメント12と、を備えた2層撚り構造のスチールコード10であって、コアフィラメント10の抗張力がシースフィラメント12の抗張力よりも高く、コアフィラメント11とシースフィラメント12とが、同一方向、同一ピッチで撚り合わされている。【選択図】図1
