PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door unit and an elevator capable of reducing thickness of a door.SOLUTION: A door unit includes a first opening/closing door 11, a second opening/closing door 21, an engagement part 17, an opening/closing drive part and a door engaging unit 31. The door engaging unit 31 includes an engaging piece 32 and a rotary mechanism 35. The engaging piece 32 is provided at the second opening/closing door 21 in a rotatable manner. The rotary mechanism 35 rotates the engaging piece 32 being interlocked with an opening/closing operation of the second opening/closing door 21. Then, when the engaging piece 32 rotates, it is engaged with the engagement part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
