PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and accurately stop a crank shaft to a target stop position when an engine is stopped.SOLUTION: An engine stop device (100) is mounted on a vehicle equipped with an engine (11), and a motor (13) capable of outputting rotation torque to a crank shaft of the engine. The engine stop device executes stop position control for controlling the motor to stop the crank shaft at a target stop position when the engine is stopped. The engine stop device is equipped with a correction means (100) which advances the target stop position by a crank angle corresponding to one stroke related to the engine, when present engine speed is equal to or greater than the target engine speed before a predetermined time period related to the engine, during the stop position control period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】エンジン停止の際に、クランクシャフトを目標停止位置へ速やかに且つ精度良く停止させる。【解決手段】エンジン停止装置(100)は、エンジン(11)と、該エンジンのクランクシャフトに対し回転トルクを出力可能なモータ(13)とを備える車両に搭載されている。当該エンジン停止装置は、エンジンの停止時に、クランクシャフトを目標停止位置に停止させるようにモータを制御する停止位置制御を実施する。当該エンジン停止装置は、停止位置制御期間中に、ンジンの現在の回転数が、エンジンに係る所定時間前の目標回転数以上である場合、エンジンに係る1行程分に相当するクランク角だけ目標停止位置を進める補正手段(100)を備える。【選択図】図7
