PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conjugated diene-vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer for manufacturing a tire excellent rolling resistance and wet skid resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a conjugated diene-vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer containing a styrene monomer and a monomer unit represented by the chemical formula (1) as a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer with 5 to 90 wt.% of the styrene monomer unit and 10 to 95 wt.% of the monomer unit represented by the chemical formula (1) based on 100 wt.% of the sum of the styrene monomer unit and the monomer unit represented by the chemical formula (1) and glass transition temperature of the polymer of -17.6 to -21.5°C. In the formula, R is an alkyl group having 3 to 7 carbon atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: None
