PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve comfortability in an atmosphere in a cabin by suppressing noise due to a hunting phenomenon associated with an electric motor from being generated even while a driver is taking a certain braking action.SOLUTION: A vehicular brake device 10 comprises: a motor cylinder device 16 which has a braking motor 72 and generates braking hydraulic pressure by driving the braking motor 72; a Hall sensor group 103 which acquires an angle of rotation associated with a rotor 72B that the braking motor 72 as a brushless motor has; and a braking controller 101 which performs driving control associated with the braking motor 72 so as to make the angle of rotation associated with the rotor 72B follow up a target angle of rotation for attaining target braking hydraulic pressure based upon a braking operation. The braking controller 101 performs retardation control to delay a voltage phase for generating a rotary magnetic field behind a phase of a permanent magnet 72B1 more a request to hold the braking hydraulic pressure is generated than when the request to hold the braking hydraulic pressure is not generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
