PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device for a biaxial electric propulsion ship by which torque limit detection signals of two propulsion motors are exchanged mutually, the torque limit detection signal of one propulsion motor is received to reduce a target speed reference of the other propulsion motor, a speed deviation amount between the propulsion motors is reduced by reducing a load, and a target speed can be speedily recovered when swiveling is finished.SOLUTION: The power conversion device for the biaxial electric propulsion ship comprises two pieces of control means for controlling power conversion devices of two propulsion motors. Each of the two pieces of control means includes torque limit means for controlling driving of an axis of rotation of the corresponding propulsion motor. The torque limit detection signal outputted from the torque limit means of one propulsion motor is transmitted to the control means of the other propulsion motor. When the torque limit detection signal outputted by the torque limit means of the one propulsion motor is received, the control means of the other propulsion motor reduces the speed reference of the other propulsion motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
