PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid lowering of reliability and safety of a power converter and a vehicle.SOLUTION: A power converter has an inverter circuit INV including a pair of switches connected in series, and outputting a motor drive current depending on a torque command value, and an inverter control circuit CTR for generating the gate drive signal of the switch and outputting to the inverter INV so as to realize a torque command value inputted externally. The inverter control circuit CTR includes a filter circuit 13 for extracting the amplitude value of the high frequency component of the motor drive current, and arithmetic circuits 14, 15, 17 for determining whether or not the amplitude value of the high frequency component has gone above a current threshold Iθ at a predetermined sampling frequency, notifying of the fact that the amplitude value of the high frequency component has gone above a current threshold Iθ, calculates the number of times when the amplitude value of the high frequency component has gone above a current threshold Iθ, compares the number of times with a threshold A1, and lowering the torque command value when the number of times goes above the threshold A1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 電力変換装置および車両の信頼性および安全性の低下を回避する【解決手段】 直列に接続した一対のスイッチを含み、トルク指令値に応じてモータ駆動電流を出力するインバータ回路INVと、外部から入力されるトルク指令値を実現するように、スイッチのゲート駆動信号を生成してインバータINVへ出力するインバータ制御回路CTRと、を有する電力変換装置である。インバータ制御回路CTRは、モータ駆動電流の高周波成分の振幅値を抽出するフィルタ回路13と、所定のサンプリング周波数で高周波成分の振幅値が電流閾値Iθ以上となったか否か判断し、高周波成分の振幅値が電流閾値Iθ以上となったことの通知を行い、高周波成分の振幅値が電流閾値Iθ以上となった回数を演算し、回数と閾値A1とを比較し、回数が閾値A1以上となったときに、トルク指令値を下げる演算回路14、15、17と、を備える。【選択図】図1
