PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for optimization of a tail unit load of an aircraft.SOLUTION: A method for controlling an elevator 360 of an aircraft 100 may comprise specification of a current stabilizer incident angle 338 of a stabilizer 330 of the aircraft. The stabilizer may comprise an elevator which is connected pivotally to the stabilizer. The method may comprise steps of comparing the current stabilizer incident angle with a threshold stabilizer incident angle, and when the current stabilizer incident angle is equal to or larger than the threshold stabilizer incident angle, selecting elevator position limitations 374, 376 having stronger limitation. The method additionally may comprise movement of the elevator to an elevator position which is instructed, and does not exceed elevator position limitations.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
