PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which suppresses an increase of a friction coefficient between a sideway side of window glass and a glass run.SOLUTION: A glass plate related to one aspect of this invention is attached to a window frame which is arranged at a vehicle body in order to form an opening part for making the inside and outside of an automobile communicate with each other, and also attached to the window frame to which a glass run is attached at the inside so as to be liftable. The glass plate has: an upper side; a lower side; a peripheral part which is formed of a pair of sideway sides for connecting the upper side and the lower side; and a functional coating which is laminated on at least one face of the glass plate by applying a functional liquid for imparting a prescribed function to at least one face of the glass plate. The functional coating is arranged while separating to the inside of a plane direction from any sideway side of the glass plate so as not to be formed in at least one portion out of a region which contacts with the glass run at least at any sideway side of the glass plate when lifting the glass plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】窓ガラスの側辺部とガラスランとの間の摩擦係数が大きくなるのを抑制する技術を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の一側面に係るガラス板は、自動車の車内と車外とを連通する開口部を形成するために車体に設けられた窓枠であって、内側にガラスランが装着された窓枠に昇降可能なように取り付けられるガラス板であって、上辺部、下辺部、及び上辺部並びに下辺部をそれぞれ連結する一対の側辺部で形成される周縁部と、所定の機能を与えるための機能液をガラス板の少なくとも一方の面に塗布することで、ガラス板の少なくとも一方の面に積層された機能性被膜と、を有し、機能性被膜は、ガラス板を昇降させる際にガラス板の少なくともいずれかの側辺部におけるガラスランに接触する領域のうちの少なくとも一部分に形成されないように、ガラス板の前記いずれかの側辺部から面方向内側に離間して設けられる。【選択図】図2
