PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide onboard equipment capable of outputting speech without the necessity of extending the time of speech outputting so as to cancel out a difference from a normal required time when speech is outputted during the required time until a vehicle reaches a predetermined point contained in traffic information.SOLUTION: Onboard equipment outputs speech at a designated tone during a scheduled required time during which a vehicle travels a predetermined section contained in received traffic information. The onboard equipment includes required time comparison decision means that compares the scheduled required time for the predetermined section with a normal required time determined as a time normally required for traveling the predetermined section, and tone control means that, if the required time comparison decision means decides that the difference of the scheduled required time from the normal required time is equal to or larger than a predetermined time difference, changes the designated tone to a different tone and outputs speech.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】交通情報に含まれる所定地点までの所要時間の音声出力について、通常の所要時間との差異を音声出力の時間を拡張することなく音声出力できる「車載機器」を提供することである。【解決手段】受信した交通情報に含まれる所定区間を走行する予定所要時間を設定されたトーンで音声出力する車載機器であって、前記所定区間の予定所要時間と、前記所定区間の走行に通常要する時間として定められた通常所要時間とを比較判定する所要時間比較判定手段と、該所要時間比較判定手段が、前記予定所要時間と前記通常所要時間との差が所定時間差以上であると比較判定したときに、前記設定されたトーンと異なるトーンに変えて出力させるトーン制御手段と、を有する構成となる。【選択図】図2
