PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an internal state and an external appearance state to be complexly diagnosed with visual inspection and allow an internal deteriorated position to easily correspond to a position appearing in external appearance.SOLUTION: A moving handrail deterioration diagnosing device 100, which diagnoses deterioration of steel cords c1-c6 buried in a moving handrail 3 of an escalator 1, comprises: a flaw detection device 12 that detects flaws of the steel cords c1-c6 on the basis of detection output from a plurality of sensors 13a-13e; a camera 14 that photographs the external appearance of the moving handrail 3; and a display device 25 that displays the output waveforms N1-N6 from the flaw detection device 12 and images of the surface of the handrail 3 photographed by the camera 14 side by side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
