PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a search and recovery system capable of shortening time required until when a space vehicle that returned from the space to the earth is discovered, starting monitoring the fallen space vehicle early, and reducing recovery cost.SOLUTION: A search and recovery system of the present invention, comprises: a space-vehicle-position-information originating station mounted in a space vehicle; an unmanned search station for searching the space vehicle from above; and a recovery station which arrives at the space vehicle for recovering the space vehicle. The unmanned search station approaches the space vehicle on the basis of space vehicle position information transmitted from the space-vehicle-position-information originating station, and transmits an image and/or a video of the space vehicle and position information on the unmanned search station and/or the space vehicle. The recovery station arrives at the space vehicle on the basis of the position information on the search station and/or the space vehicle from the unmanned search station, and receives the image and/or the video of the space vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
