PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foothold lifting control device which automatically moves up or down a work foothold so that a surface of a workpiece and an eye level of an inspector lie in a certain range without needing the inspector to conduct operation to move up or down the work foothold according to a height of the workpiece.SOLUTION: A lifting control unit 21 sets an eye level HE of an inspector M on the basis of a height section detected in a height section gate 10 through which the inspector M passes when taking on a work foothold 5a, identifies a vehicle model of a body shell 4 moving on a line from an image of a feature part (a fuel lid 4f) imaged by a camera 15, and obtains height data of a predetermined portion. The lifting control unit 21 performs controlling to move up or down a foothold height HF of the work foothold 5a to a predetermined height to allow a height between the eye level of the inspector M and an inspected surface of the body shell 4 to be constantly in a certain range (h±σ) with a reference height h as a center of the height every time a passing detection gate 12 detects additions of each identified portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】検査員がワーク高さに応じて作業足場をいちいち昇降操作することなく、ワーク表面と検査員の目線の高さとが一定範囲に収まるように作業足場を自動的に昇降させるようにする。【解決手段】昇降制御ユニット21は、検査員Mが作業足場5aに乗り込む際に通過した身長区分ゲート10で検知された身長区分に基づき検査員Mの目線高さHEを設定し、又ライン上を移動するボディシェル4の車種をカメラ15で撮影した特徴部分(フューエルリッド4f)の画像から特定し、所定部位の高さデータを取得する。そして、通過検知ゲート12が各特定部位の追加を検知する毎に、作業足場5aの足場高さHFを所定に昇降させ、検査員Mの目線とボディシェル4の被検査面との間の高さが基準高さhを中心として常に一定範囲(h±σ)に収まるように制御する。【選択図】図1
