PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel cover and a manufacturing method for the steering wheel cover, which improve designability and suppress a wrinkle from occurring on the steering wheel cover.SOLUTION: In a steering wheel cover 1, a cover main body 2 is formed in a cubic shape which has a virtual shaft line FL extended along a circumference direction of a rim part by forming one end part of a first covering member 21 and one end part of a second covering member 22 in curved shapes and stitching the end parts of the first covering member 21 and the second covering member 22 formed in the curved shapes with each other to form a stitched part 4a. A third covering member 3, in an expanded shape which forms a shape having at least two sides along a circumference direction of a cross section orthogonal to the virtual shaft line FL, is arranged at a position across the stitched part 4a of the cover main body 2, and in the third covering member 3 two sides 31 and 32 at positions which sandwich the stitched part 4a from a direction of the virtual shaft line FL are stitched with the cover main body 2 along the circumference direction CV of the cross section 2S orthogonal to the virtual shaft line FL of the cover main body 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】ステアリングホイールカバー及びステアリングホイールカバーの製造方法において、デザイン性を向上すると共にステアリングホイールカバーにおける皺の発生を抑制する。【解決手段】ステアリングホイールカバー1において、カバー本体2は、第一被覆部材21の一端部と第二被覆部材22の一端部とを湾曲形状とし、湾曲形状とした第一被覆部材21及び第二被覆部材22の一端部同士を縫合して縫合部4aを形成することにより、リム部の周方向に沿う仮想軸線FLを有する立体形状とされ、第三被覆部材3は、展開形状が仮想軸線FLと直交する断面の周方向に沿うように少なくとも二辺を有する形状をなす状態で、カバー本体2の縫合部4aを跨ぐ位置に配置されると共に、第三被覆部材3において仮想軸線FLの方向から縫合部4aを挟む位置の二辺31,32がカバー本体2の仮想軸線FLと直交する断面2Sの周方向CVに沿ってカバー本体2に縫合される。【選択図】図1
