PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which is favorable in the switching responsiveness of a disengagement mechanism, in a four-wheel drive unit having the disengagement mechanism which connects and disconnects power transmission to a propeller shaft.SOLUTION: When a first electromagnetic solenoid 62 and a second electromagnetic solenoid 102 are driven, and first cams 74, 96a of a first thrust amplification mechanism 56 and a second thrust amplification mechanism 96 are connected to a non-rotatable member, relative rotation between the first cams 74, 96a and second cams 76, 96b becomes high since the second cams 76, 96b rotate at rotational speeds proportional to a vehicle speed V. Therefore, disengagement states of a first disengagement mechanism 36 and a second disengagement mechanism 54 can be quickly switched by quickly operating the first thrust amplification mechanism 56 and the second thrust amplification mechanism 96.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
