PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road lane marking information obtaining device that allows for appropriate control when visibility of a road lane marking does not necessarily degrade.SOLUTION: A road lane marking information obtaining device (1) comprises a road lane marking detection unit (3) for detecting a road lane marking, a travel environment obtaining unit (5) for obtaining a travel environment of an own vehicle, a road lane marking probability information obtaining unit (9) for obtaining road lane marking probability information including a probability that the road lane marking is present or a probability that the road lane marking is a specific type according to the detection result by the road lane marking detection unit and the travel environment obtained by the travel environment obtaining unit, a positional information obtaining unit (7) for obtaining positional information of the own vehicle, a storage unit (11) for storing the road lane marking probability information which has been obtained by the road lane marking probability information obtaining unit and associated with the positional information of the own vehicle when the road lane marking probability information is obtained, in a storage part (29), and a reading unit (13) for reading the road lane marking probability information which has been associated with the positional information ahead of the own vehicle from the storage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
