PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power receiving apparatus that is able to suitably exert variable control of impedance for an impedance conversion part configured such that impedance is variable.SOLUTION: A power receiving apparatus 21 is able to receive AC power from a power transmission apparatus 11 without contact, the power transmission apparatus having an AC power source 12 and a transmitter 13 that receives input of AC power from the AC power source 12. This power receiving apparatus comprises a power receiver 23, which is able to receive AC power from the transmitter 13 without contact, and a battery 22. A load impedance ZL, which is the impedance of the battery 22, changes with the value of power input to the battery 22 or with a charged state. The power receiving apparatus 21 is provided at a point between the power receiver 23 and the battery 22, and has a DC/DC converter 25 configured such that impedance is variable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
