PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic processing device with backup function which aims at a cost down and a miniaturization.SOLUTION: A microcomputer 11 controls charging/discharging of capacitors C1 to C3 by controlling the output of O ports P11 to P13 according to a lighting-on state and a lighting-off state of LED 21 to 23, determines a lighting-on state and a lighting-off state of LED 21 to 23 prior to the instantaneous interruption of the power source based on a charging state of the capacitors C1 to C3 inputted from I port P21 to P23 in response to restoring from the instantaneous interruption of the power source, and controls the operation of LED 21 to 23 so as to be in the determined lighting-on state and lighting-off state of the LED 21 to 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
