PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision detection device that is able to highly accurately detect a collision regardless of a collided part of a bumper in the vehicle width direction.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision detection device 1 comprises: a bumper absorber 2 disposed between a vehicle bumper cover 8 and a bumper reinforcement 9; a detection tube member 3 mounted in a groove part 21a formed in the bumper absorber 2; and a pressure sensor 4 that detects pressure in the hollow part 3a of the detection tube member 3. The vehicle collision detection device detects the collision of an object (pedestrian) with a bumper cover 8 on the basis of a pressure detection result obtained by the pressure sensor 4. The bumper absorber 2 is composed of a front absorber 21 and a rear absorber 22 separated in the vehicle forward and backward directions. The detection tube member 3 is mounted in the groove part 21a formed in the rear face 21b of the front absorber 21. In the front absorber 21, the thickness L in the vehicle forward and backward directions on the vehicle front side further from the detection tube member 3 is entirely uniform in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】バンパの車幅方向における衝突位置に拘わらず高精度に衝突検知を行うことができる車両用衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用衝突検知装置1は、車両のバンパカバー8とバンパレインフォースメント9との間に配設されたバンパアブソーバ2と、バンパアブソーバ2に形成された溝部21aに装着される検出用チューブ部材3と、検出用チューブ部材3の中空部3a内の圧力を検出する圧力センサ4とを有し、圧力センサ4による圧力検出結果に基づいてバンパカバー8への物体(歩行者)の衝突を検知する。バンパアブソーバ2は、車両前後方向に分割された前部アブソーバ21と後部アブソーバ22とから構成される。前部アブソーバ21の後面21bに形成された溝部21aに検出用チューブ部材3が装着される。前部アブソーバ21は、検出用チューブ部材3よりも車両前方側における車両前後方向の厚みLが車幅方向全体にわたって均一である。【選択図】図2
