PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip with reduced weight in a smooth and aesthetically pleasing appearance.SOLUTION: A weather strip comprises: a dense body member; and a not-so-dense sponge valve member generating a microporous structure to provide a material with approximately 0.60 g/cc or less intake specific gravity, and a weather strip material having an internal pore structure including pores with a cross sectional diameter of approximately 110 μm or less, by utilizing thermally expandable microspheres in the sponge valve member of the weather strip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
