PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method of detecting a liquid spill of a pressure-reducing valve provided in an ABS device for a hydraulic brake system.SOLUTION: In a hydraulic brake system provided with an ABS device 18 configured by including: a shutoff valve 140 for shutting off a supply of hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic pressure supply source to a brake control system 12; a pressure-reducing valve 142 for discharging the hydraulic fluid from the brake control system; a reservoir 146 for pooling the discharged hydraulic fluid; and a reflux pump 154 for refluxing the pooled hydraulic fluid between the shutoff valve and the hydraulic pressure supply source, the reflux pump is operated, for example at the time of starting a vehicle, to detect a liquid spill of the pressure-reducing valve on the basis of a variation of the hydraulic fluid's pressure Pin the hydraulic pressure supply source at that time. By operating the reflux pump provided with the ABS device, a liquid spill of the pressure-reducing valve can be easily detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 液圧ブレーキシステムのABS装置が有する減圧弁の液漏れを検知するための実用的な方法を提供する。【解決手段】 ブレーキ装置12への液圧供給源からの作動液の供給を遮断する遮断弁140と、ブレーキ装置から作動液を排出するための減圧弁142と、排出された作動液を貯留するリザーバ146と、貯留された作動液を遮断弁と液圧供給源との間に還流させる還流ポンプ154とを含んで構成されるABS装置18を備えた液圧ブレーキシステムにおいて、例えば、車両の始動時に、還流ポンプを作動させ、その際の液圧供給源における作動液の圧力PSRVの変動に基づいて、減圧弁の液漏れを検知する。ABS装置に備わっている還流ポンプを作動させることによって、簡便に、減圧弁の液漏れを検知することが可能である。【選択図】 図1
