PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper rubber which has an excellent weather resistance and can maintain a good field of view even if use of the same is continued.SOLUTION: A wiper rubber 1 for wiping a surface of an object is characterized in that the wiper rubber is equipped with a long substrate 2 made of a rubber material containing a silicone rubber, and coating layers 4a and 4b which are so provided on the substrate 2 that the substrate 2 does not contact the object, and the coating layers 4a and 4b are ones having siloxane impermeability. Preferably, a thickness of the coating layers 4a and 4b is 1 to 40 μm. The coating layers 4a and 4b contain a film formation component, and the film formation component is preferably a polyurethane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
