PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise propagated to an underwater sounder by simple and low-cost means so as to improve reception sensitivity (S/N ratio).SOLUTION: A ship is equipped with an underwater sounder having a reception part of a sound wave propagated in the water on an external surface of a hull under a water line, and includes at least one noise reduction device opened in a region of the external surface of the hull facing a route in which the sound wave generated by a sound wave generation source of the hull propagates in the water and reaches the reception part, and has a bottomed cylindrical space filled with a medium having the same acoustic impedance with the water around the hull. When assuming that a length from the opening to the bottom in the cylindrical space in axial direction is L, a wavelength of at least one sound wave generated from the sound wave generation source is λ, and n is 0 or a positive integer, the relationship satisfying the following expression: L=λ/4+λ n/2 is established.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
