PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire rubber composition that offers an excellent balance of improved performances including fuel economy, workability, thermal aging resistance, wear resistance, wet grip performance, low temperature grip performance, dry grip performance, driving stability, rubber strength, adhesive strength, rim slippage resistance, and blowout resistance, and a pneumatic tire made using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a tire rubber composition comprising a highly-purified modified natural rubber whose pH is controlled to 2-7, carbon black and/or white filler, and a styrene-butadiene rubber with a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 800,000 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
