PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to determine whether a capacitor degrades in a short time with high accuracy while preventing fault determination in advance in a vehicle power supply apparatus provided with an electric generator and the capacitor that stores power generated by the electric generator and that supplies the power to a vehicle electric load.SOLUTION: When a floating phenomenon occurs to a capacitor voltage, it is determined that a DC/DC converter has been stopped (S13, S14). An internal resistance value rcap of the capacitor is calculated using capacitor voltage values and capacitor current values before and after the stop of the DC/DC converter (S15, S16). When the capacitor voltage values and capacitor current values used for calculation include a capacitor voltage value and a capacitor current value during any of idling stop, idling restarting, a specified period since idling is restarted, the use of the internal resistance value rcap for capacitor degradation determination is avoided (S17, S1A).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】発電機と、発電機の発電電力を蓄えるとともに車両電気負荷に電力供給するキャパシタとを備えた車両用電源装置において、当該キャパシタの劣化判定を、短時間でかつ、誤判定を未然に回避して精度良く、実行可能にする。【解決手段】キャパシタ電圧に浮き上がり現象が生じたとき、DC/DCコンバータが停止したと判定する(S13,S14)。DC/DCコンバータ停止前後におけるキャパシタ電圧値・電流値を用いて、キャパシタの内部抵抗値rcapを算出する(S15,S16)。算出に用いたキャパシタ電圧値・電流値が、アイドリングストップ中、アイドリング再始動中、およびアイドリング再始動後から所定期間内のうちのいずれかのものを含むとき、当該内部抵抗値rcapはキャパシタ劣化判定への利用が回避される(S17,S1A)。【選択図】図4
